Pinger Chirp Sub-bottom Profiler
PINGER SBP, a new product offering by Knudsen Engineering, will provide researchers with an alternative to the challenges of shallow water sub-bottom profiling. PINGER's large aperature receieve array provides higher directivity in a more lightweight package PINGER also give the user the advantage of a wider bandwidth which allows simultaneous operation at multiple frequencies. The above graphic shows data collected transmitting and receiving on the same transducer compared to data collected with the PVDF receive array of the PINGER SBP.
Chirp Rack Echosounder
Knudsen Chirp systems are the next benchmark in scientific sub-bottom profiling echosounders. The Chirp Rack system, a blackbox system which interfaces to your PC via a USB connection, incorporates the latest in digital signal processing technology and includes Knudsen SounderSuite Windows application software and chirp and correlation processing algorithms to enhance sub-bottom capability. The unit, housed in a 3U rackmount case, is ideal for quick installation to a standard equipment rack on your survey platform. With up to four channels (two 2kW channels and two 1kW channels) in a single 3U rackmount case, the Chirp Rack provides a high performance solution for survey vessels where splashproof packaging is not a requirement.
Chirp Portable Echosounder
Knudsen Chirp systems are the next benchmark in scientific sub-bottom profiling echosounders. The Chirp Portable system, a blackbox system which interfaces to your PC via a USB connection, incorporates the latest in digital signal processing technology and includes Knudsen SounderSuite Windows application software and chirp and correlation processing algorithms to enhance sub-bottom capability. The unit, housed in a rugged, lightweight splashproof case, is ideal for easy transport to changing project locations and installation on open survey launch platforms. With up to four channels (two 2kW channels and two 1kW channels) in a single package, the versatile system is particularly well suited to multiple survey roles and includes a wide range of frequencies for both shallow and deeper depths.
The 320MC Marine Echosounder
The original 320M - well known and respected for its outstanding performance and longevity in the survey market - now has even more to offer following to the research community following a complete technology refresh. With twice as much power, and the addition of chirp and correlation processing features, the new 320Mc joins the Chirp series of next generation Knudsen products for sub-bottom, ocean research applications. As well as the standard features of the Chirp series, the new 320Mc also provides a standard built in 32 greyscale printer and a built in computer with Knudsen SounderSuite software to allow display/control and data collection both internally and over a network.
